Nope, it’s no Mind Trick! Tonight, the inaugural and friendly KRASH of the Titans took place as the cultural groups of rivals KR and SH performed today at an event also known as Heng Mui Keng Night! Held just outside Sheares, from 8 – 10pm, it was a high energy event that dished up exciting dance, acapella, geyao and band performances!

This writer did TRY to take pictures. However, her lousy Canon Ixus could not really capture with the poor lighting and low battery. Nonetheless it was heartwarming seeing “The Bitter Rivals” seat down together to enjoy the night under the stars.

One special mention has to be the love that has blossomed between KR and SH! The boisterous hosts from KR specially brought out a couple who live in KR and SH respectively. Grilling them like contestants on a talk show, the 2 hosts proceeded to ask them questions about their relationship, to the amusement of all present. And despite the fierce compeitition amoungst the halls, they maintain that their relationship is “still good!” (All together now, *awww*)

The night ended on a high note after KR’s Rockers entertained with fantastic music and equally amusing rocker antics. I’m sure some love (or at least admiration) must have blossomed during those 2 hours and maybe we will see some migration between the halls next academic year? Or as Jamie suggested, more singles prowling the back lane between the halls in the weeks to come! (Hint: Maybe bring along a tissue or hankerchief to drop along the way. P.S.
