What are my chances of getting into hall?

Everyone has an equal chance, as long as u apply for it.

What kind of rooms are there in sheares hall?

We only offer single rooms. Most people keep their doors open to interact with their neighbours. However, we also get our fair share of privacy.

If I don’t have a good CCA record, can I still apply?

Although strong CCA records are preferred, we welcome everyone to apply, because there are other aspects we will take into consideration. We believe there are hidden talents in everyone.

If I stay near the school, can I still apply for a room?

Yes. Proximity to campus is NOT a factor. However, if your application for hall is unsuccessful, you may appeal to the Office of Student Affairs with respect to your present location of residence.

Will it be very tiring in hall?

It is all a matter of time management. In fact, there are many Shearites who participate very actively in hall activities and yet have made it to the Dean’s List (top students of each faculty).
